Was there a 2022 race? Maybe i missed it.

Been 20 yrs ago.. my son (with my help) won our Cubscout derby 4 years in a row.. a couple yrs later, our city had a festival day.. with a derby.. i have 3 kids, so they each chose and entered 1 of the cars.. which left the 4th car for me.. it was the 1st my son and i had built, simple wedge design..
Leading up to the race, a local convenience store owner was talking about the forth coming city wide derby.. he told me he was having a car shipped in from California.. all in good jest.. but it was supposed to be fast..
All 4 of our cars dominated.. winning every race against all the other cars.. in the end.. we took the top 4 places.. with the old orginal wedge taking 1st.. lol

If anyone is looking for some speed tips... i can help..

It helps when your dad works in a machine shop.

Life has been a rollercoaster lately, but yes, the 2022 race was held on January 22nd.
Konnor won first in his den (Bear, 3rd graders) as well as first in the Pack.

Our district has never had a district level race, so I volunteered to head it up, this year. That will happen on April 30th. We (Brazos district) just merged with 2 other districts, so our area stretches from just north of Fulshear all the way down to Matagorda. The top two finishers, from each rank, from each pack qualify for the district race, so Konnor will race again at the district race.

I'm also planning a Cubmaster's Cup (as a fundraiser and part of my Woodbadge ticket mentioned in my campsite post) in late May or early June. It's open to anyone and everyone, so if you're interested in seeing how you stack up against some Cub Scouts, look it up on Facebook!

            Jeff, that was last year.
This year my car was Turbo Turtle.
            Konnor's was Super Sloth.

He won the pack title again, and I won the Geezer division again.
