God bless Texas and all the knowledge here on TBH.
We’re finishing our retirement home in Montana and need to make decision on decking material. 1,800 sq feet of wrap around deck. Cold winters, warm, sunny and dry summers- lots of sun to fade anything in big sky country. Mold/ fungus not much of a concern.
I know there’s a lot of composite decking sold- but search ‘trex problems’ on the web and there’s thousands of horror stories. I realize Trex had a manufacturing issue years ago- but resolved it.
What is experience there? Anybody install/ repair them?
Wood alternatives are obvious, but I don’t want to be sealing/ staining Ipe or redwood plus wood prices are crazy-high now.
Thanks-
