Best thing parents can do for their kids is stop buying them junk gifts and put money into Roth or IRA. Have attorney write it where they cant touch it until over 55 years old. Ive been doing it for a few years and wish i would have started earlier. Both are young men now but both will at least not have to eat cat food hopefully but who knows what the government will mess up between now and then

People also need to be honest with themselves.

I feel like I’m in pretty good shape for my age. But I can most certainly do better and have made mistakes along the way.

I have a house payment and 2 vehicles financed at super low rates. Would love them paid off and am working that way. You never see anyone agree that they try to keep up woth the Jones. I don’t. But I’m guilty of not settling for average things. Especially hunting gear. I could have EASILY paid off my truck for what I spent in rifles alone haha.
