2021 Crappie Thread!!!

I went fishing on LOP for the first time today, and only caught 4. None over 1.5#. I did have over a dozen follow my jig then turn away. The boat show consisted of about 40 boats at 10AM and by 3PM there were only 4 boats remaining. I gave my 4 fish to two guys who said it was a slow day, they were locals and only had 12.
At the ramp I talked to another local and he had only caught about 6. Both of those boats were using Livescope.

Happy new year. It was a great year. Although I was shy of my yearly goal. Managed 1,947 crappie to hit the cleaning table. Hope this year is even better.

I shoulda went fishing this morning! Took all the Christmas stuff down and cooked breakfast! Momma had some bad azz fireworks last night and drank some good bourbon! Rain isn’t here yet. Outta mow my weeds! My 2022 crappie season starts Wednesday! Need to get with the Boat Center and David at Shut up and Fish and get some maintenance and upgrades done to the Slab Sled for 2022!
