2021 Crappie Thread!!!

Checked email this morning headed to load the cooler! Should be home early afternoon so I can go to the office if something comes up! Haven’t been on the water in nearly 2 weeks. Might have to stop and ask directions to the ramp!

It's been windy, looks like today is going to be the first day with light wind and I can't go! My son has a Dr appointment in about an hour and I have a dentist appointment mid-afternoon.
They were predicting 12-20 mph wind yesterday. I was hoping for 12 and headed to Fork. When I got there it was 18 mph. Launched the boat, tied it to the dock and stood there watching the white caps rolling by. The area I was going to fish would be completely unprotected. I decided I wasn't that mad at the crappie, so I untied the boat, put it right back on the trailer, and went home.

Brazos river water was certainly doable yesterday. But I was on my way for an evening deer hunt. I did hear the canada geese again. May have to go find out where they are hang-n out, while I've got a pole in hand.

Man!!! Boats running, few kinks to work out. Going to have to rebuild trim.

Tried some new areas. Finally found a big brush pile in about 15' and caught one nice 14" slab right before dark. Water was 68*

Slew.... I saw you early this morning on LOP. I can't get enough of LOP everytime I go I either catch my PB or have 7 or 8 fish over 2lbs.
