    Coleman Propane Camping Stove

This is a long shot, but here it goes...

When I first moved to Texas, I bought a Coleman Propane Camping Stove and used it a half dozen times. Fast forward 25 years and a Dozen moves and relocations. I found it the other day and one of the knobs leaks. (when I turn it on flames come out of the knob)
since it's an older stove no one has the parts that I know of. I'm wondering if any D-FW folks have old broken camp stoves they don't use and are willing to donate for parts so I can try to rig this thing back into functionality?!

    Thanks in advance!

If it is leaking around the knob I would think seal and if it has a seal can't you replace it?

    Hope you get it fixed

with no parts available, I took it apart and put Teflon tape around it but it didn't do any good.

You can send it in to Coleman for repair.

You might also buy a repair kit if you can find the correct parts.

Can you tell why it leaks at the knob?

No clue. Probably because it’s old and been sitting in the garage heat for so long!

Tim Getts, aka 2050z on here, will guide you in the right direction. He's been collecting and restoring Coleman products on here. As well as helping others to identity what years the products were made. And has gotten several members interested. He's also the one who started a Coleman products thread that many took part in. Search him up and send him a PM.

Probably a little plastic o ring that cracked. See if you can get it out and find an old hardware store they could possibly help you out.
