Lease Internet - Mobile Hotspots

Hi All,

I have been working remotely throughout this deer season due to COVID. I was able to successfully work from the lease using my phone's hotspot. However, my father in law let me borrow his dedicated AT&T mobile hotspot that worked great. It enabled me to stream football games and seemed faster.

Do any of y'all use these dedicated hotspots? Any suggestions on which model and plan? I would want to be able to work effectively and also stream college football.

I have a Verizon hotspot provided by work and have not complaints. The only issue I have is getting cell phone reception at the lease.

There is a guy in the classifieds selling a net gear nighthawk mr1100. That is what I use at home. Awesome device, and you will save about a hundred getting his.

Thanks all. I should mention at the cabin my cell service is excellent. I have AT&T and I always have at least three bars on LTE.

I use a Cradlepoint, basically same thing (4G/LTE router) as the Net Gear on the classifieds. Will be more dependent on your data package and cell reception than anything. Most of these types of devices can use a different antennae that will boost the signal strength, if needed.
