      I would check around and find a good dirt guy. I mean a guy that really knows how to do ponds. So many folks think they can just dig a hole and make a pond. A good dirt guy can quickly dig a few test holes and see what the clay situation is and whether or not it is worth messing with. A bit of money, but much less risk and headaches! unless you just like the challenge!!

        Dale’s right on all he said in this thread.
        Had mine cleaned out a couple years ago. Used a 60’ excavator, D5 and a mini excavator.
