    Hostage rest

I have never tried this one before. Is the hostage rest a good rest or is the drop away still better?

It's like a whisker rest but only 3 points of contact so the vanes do not hit.

    Opinions?

I have a Hostage Pro and I wouldn't recommend it. Go with the Whisker Bisquit and never look back.

Never shot a drop away or a whisker biscuit, but I am happy with my hostage. NAP also makes a similar type rest, the capture I believe. Having said that, I am considering trying the G5 expert, if not on this bow probably on my next.

Never been a fan of the bisquit. Have a fall away and love it. My wife had hostage and shoots small Epic ST's. I noticed that she would often have an arrow 8-10 inches off the mark. We went with a $40 drop away and she started hitting X's shot after shot.

Don't know about the larger arrows. My thought is the less the arrow is touched, the faster it goes!

I shoot a Hostage and it works pretty well. I think that I prefer a drop away though and will be switching soon.

I switched from a hostage to the QAD hunter. I liked my hostage. I love my drop away!!

I shot Trophy Taker drop-away for years..With my short draw length, the Trophy Taker was not getting out of the way soon enough. I went to the Hostage and love it...altho, it is a little hard to tune on the Diamond Bow.

                Good Luck

Think I will stick with the drop away.

                  Thanks.

have had one for about 2 years and it is the best and simplest rest I have ever owned. Could not pay me to go back to a drop away. The more moving parts, the more chance of failure. I would recommend this rest to anybody

The lower brush on the hostage will wear. Buy the spare brushes if you get one. Thats the weak point in the design. They sent me some pig hair brushes that seem to wear much better. The factory told me that they had received a number of complaints about short lower brush life. The simplicity of the design is great though. I'm a big advocate of simple.

Depends on your bow the matthews reezen shoots to fast it burns the brushes and melts the bristles together . A normal fps the are pretty good.
