    Native pecans needed

Afternoon folks, Most of the native pecans in the creek bottom died during the '11 drought. Anyone have some of the small native pecans they would sell or know of where I can buy some so I can try to get them going again? I don't need or really even want grafted trees. I figure if I can start some now they'd be ready to plant next fall. thanks.

We have lots of native pecans in our pastures. The make the small, hard-as-a-rock pecan, that tastes really good. I can get you some, if you want.

      Google Womack nursery in Deleon.
      They sell grafted varieties ($30+)
BUT you can buy basically native trees that they use for rootstock. Much cheaper. Like $7 or something close to it if I recall. May be the way to go.
I buy from them every year. Never disappointed.

I just dug and potted about 35 this weekend and have at least as many more to dig next month. I sold a few here last year and planned on doing the same this year. Search the classifieds for my post. I do not sell much so should be easy to find.
The tree these came from was from central LA. It producers the small nuts that have a better flavor in my mind.

PM me if you are interested in some.
