Dearborn heater regulator & orifice size?

There's a 7-grate, 40K BTU Dearborn heater in our lease house that I'm trying to get functional. I bought a "low pressure" regulator & line to connect to a standard 20# LPG cylinder. I hooked it up and I get a very low flame. Not sure if there's still some contaminants in the valve or burners, or if I bought the wrong regulator. Pretty sure it should have a #48 orifice in it but I haven't checked it since the only gas source there is LPG & I assumed it was already set up for that. Thoughts and/or suggestions?

    Had this problem before.
Ended up going to a propane dealer to get a regulator that worked. Regular low pressure won’t do it.

I took my old Dearborn heater to a local Propane/Butane supply and they fitted it with a regulator and hose assembly, and it worked like a champ for many years.

You know, those things are additive.................
I'd say, load it up, and take it in and get it checked..........
