Never seen one measured in /16. Beautiful trophy 8 for sure. Congrats
The guy helping me measure gave his measurements in 16ths, I just went with it. I’ll get exact as soon as he gets me the skull. His biggest buck, and a once in a lifetime 8 pt for sure.
My exact guess also. Well I’ll be, didn’t read far enough before posting again. I didn’t expect it to go that much, congrats on a very nice buck, no matter what he scored that’s a nice looking deer.
Thanks guys, he'll look great on the wall. My uncle is beyond excited, he had a couple of earlier run ins with it and couldn't get a shot. Critter, I agree. I tend to score deer a little higher than they are field judging. I was about right on the tines, but way low on mass. I was shocked when I was able to put my hands on the rack and see just how much mass he carries. We don't get a lot of that up at our lease, most look more like the one I shot. I will score him soon, probably high 20's to low 30's with a 19" spread and average tine length.
Not to be Debbie downer but you have two too many tine measurements on the scoresheet. On an eight point you will get a G1, G2 and G3 measurement. The main beam length measurement catches the G4 measurement. If you measure the main beam lengths and the G4 measurements then essentially you are duplicating the measurement. Thats is still a helluva 8 point and one to be proud of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did not include those when adding up the measurements.
Shorty, those were what was added when the fractions were calculated. I was doing this with bloody hands on the back of the ranger, wasn’t the best place to do calculations.
