    LEO Thanks

In these trying times those who protect us deserve much respect. Today I am challenging you to do something for our LEO. Next week I will pick another branch of super heroes. I will not post my kind action for LEO and hope you do not either. This is not about praise for me, the poster, the commenter. Bit most about supporting an individual or entire group/agency etc. Go do something great for a LEO this week. Next week I will pick on another group.

On the nextdoor page for our community there is a sign up sheet for people to sign up to bring cookies and treats to the police station. It's for every Monday.

Our children's mission group at church visited the jail and a fire station couple of years ago. It was really good to see the kids talking to the LEOs and first responders. The ones at the fire station really had a blast--wearing helmets, doing the siren/horns, etc. The ones at the police station--well, the looks on their faces were priceless when we put them in a holding cell and slammed the door.

Got to take care of them--they are our lifelines when we are in a bind.

Something else we have done this year with the pandemic---our ladies at church baked cookies, etc. and we delivered them to the nurses' station at the hospital.

I helped him get his monthly ticket quota. Does that count. Thanks Leo you have all my respect in the world. Stay safe out there.

I do that good deed every day. I never give them any reason to visit me, that leaves them more time to catch cooler thieves !

Thanks, guys. Always appreciated, but the job satisfaction is always there. It's nice to get a big smile and thank you, or a handshake- but we know you're out there. As much as I love all of you, I do the job more for me. Some days you come home knowing you've made a difference. Some days you come home thinking you can't tell the family what you've seen or been through. Those are the days that change you- for better or worse.

Things have changed ALOT in the last 25+ years, and the job is getting much more difficult to do. Glad I'm closer to the end of my career instead of the beginning.

Sorry if hijacked. Been a long week with Covid quarantine- Christmas and family plans postponed, wife in bed most of the last week. We're still thankful and feel very blessed.

I know we're not supposed to tell but someone sent me some leftover day old donut holes

He may own a construction bidness in Kingwood and his name rhymes with hurtmynecks

He's a giver and doesn't get his due credit...all I had to do was heat those donut holes in the microwave and they got semi softish....like his heart
