    Ready for some new Binoculars

I’ve had the Razor HD and was very happy with them however they were stolen, considering the Razor UHD 10x42, Nikon Monarch HD 10x42, or Maven B1 19x42, have the Maven C1 10x42, but after friend had a questionable issue with his new B1 leaning back to Razor Vortex or New Monarchs, any have these and would you recommend? I send Arrowsmith a PM on the UHDs.

    Thanks All!

After looking into the Swaro EL vs Vortex Razor UHD the overall general consensus from what I could see from people that have used both was they were pretty much the same except for extreme low light where it wouldn’t be legal to shoot anyways and that’s when the ELs outperformed. I just bought a pair of the UHDs 10x42 from midway and got them yesterday. I have not looked through swaros so I have no direct comparison to go off of but they are a drastic improvement over my Steiners that I have been using. Love my Razor scopes, another reason I went back to Vortex. Very happy with the UHDs.

Thanks EDoc, that’s where I’m leaning, don’t want to drop the coin for the ELs

Leica Trinovid are great glass and another option for the money. Had a vortex but my eyes just don’t agree with them or can get the focus right. Pentax also makes some great glass for the money.

Might want to find a few to try outside in low light whichever direction to make sure you like them. Inside use is useless.

I went with the Maven B2 9x45 and have been very happy with them. I’d also check out the Leica Trinovids and the Leupold Santiams

Just recently bought some maven b5 and absolutely love them, but just curious about your friends questionable problem? Maven like many other companies has no fault warranty.

I had the chance to look through many different ones when I bought mine at heartlands outdoors in Kansas across a big open field about dark 30 and by far the best in my under 500$ price range was the Vanguard 10.5x45 now this was about 6 or so years ago so I’m sure there’s better made now but every time I use them I’m still amazed at how clear and crisp they are! Just my 2 cents
