Nephrologist (Kidney Dr.) Recommendations

Does anyone recommend a nephrologist in the League City/Houston area? My mom needs one, and some prayers. Her kidney's are at 15%, and the Dr.'s in Northeast La. aren't doing any good. She's currently seeing someone in New Orleans. They're adjusting her blood pressure meds, and she has a follow-up January 4th, but I'd like options for Houston... I know there's probably good Dr.'s in N.O., but my patience has run out.

No sir, as far as we know it's not cancer related. She's type 2 diabetic and her blood pressure (systolic is high). Her kidney output has gone down within the last few months.

Dr. Robert Leggington at Methodist in Baytown is good.

My brother in law had failing kidneys and actually had a transplant sept of 2019. He really liked his doctor and I’ll leave his name below but from my understanding if your mom is at 15% your nephrologist should have long ago referred her to the donor clinic
In houston there are two UTMB Galveston and houston Methodist
If I remember correctly that referral takes place when you get to 25%. 15% is dialysis levels if I’m not mistaken.
