Shot my buck at the lease opening weekend of bow season.
Next up was my boy during youth weekend. He wanted to get one with his bow but this old bruiser wouldn’t come close enough. He put down his biggest bucks to date.

Next up was my middle child, my baby girl. She is absolutely ate up with hunting and I love it. Nothing like daddy daughter time in the stand. She put the smack on a great 8 point at 225 yards.

Both of their bucks were taken 15 minutes from the house. I went back out there one day which is unusual for me to not have a kid with me. I had planned on shooting a couple doe. I thought I saw someone driving on the back of the ranch and there wasn’t supposed to be anyone there. Turns out after I walked back there it was the neighbor driving the fence line. He ended up running a doe and 4 bucks out of his place and on to ours. One of which turned out to be my biggest buck to date at 152 2/8. They bedded in an open hay field and I had to belly crawl about 250 yards. They spotted me 430 yards out. After some quick adjustments I took the shot. He ran about 80 yards before going down.

The neighbor had missed him during bow season. And I found a 223 round in his back hip.

Been a great season this year.
