We just made the change to Milwaukie, I have that impact and the one that is 1400lbs of torque I think. Both perform very well so far. The techs are not having to drag out the 1" air impact nearly as much

How many other 18v tools do you run...you can get the 20v adapter for all of those, so going 20v DeWALT might be a better option.
You know I have a cabinet full of 18v Dewalt tools (saws, grinders, lights, etc) It's just that my 18v dewalt drill seems to be ****ting the bed along with the batteries. I do have an adapter to use the Dewalt 20v in the 18v tools so I can get more use out of everything else. My reciprocating saw literally snapped in half a while back.

It appears I can adapt the Milwaukee M18 to Dewalt 18v as well as 20v (I had no idea, so thanks for that info). I have tools in both voltage platforms. I don't think the Dewalt 18v drill has a lot of life left in it so I'm thinking I'll replace with Milwaukee and still use the Dewalt 20v for lighter duty around the house. I'll rely on the Milwaukee to Dewalt adapter as well as the Dewalt 20v to 18v for the rest of the yellow tools. This has become a dilemma as I don't want to buy more 18v batteries and I did jump ecosystems when I added the Milwaukee blower and weedeater to the stable along with a couple 8ah batteries.

        I'll buy this:

Milwaukee Fuel tools are some bad boys.....Dewalt can’t hold a candle to them

Interesting, thank you. Is there any sort of a “brake” feature on it?

Millwaukee and Porter Cable are the best there are.

I don't "work" nearly as much as I used to, but I can still wreck dewalt stuff in a hurry. I have Makita now, and it's very good, but it aint Milwaukee or Porter Cable.

I am a full blown Milwaukee guy buy I have rigid, Milwaukee, and dewalt chargers around the barn for different tools. I have way more Milwaukee batteries than any other but I needed a handful of different tools and dewalt was way more value the others if you can find them on sale

Its a worm drive winch. No brake you can use a handle crank or a drill. They are slower than molasses to winch by hand because they are geared so low, that's why people use a drill. These are WAY safer than a regular crank up winch that uses a brake or flip switch to go up or down.

Where can I buy just the winch with the drill conversion on it?

Keep an eye out for specials on the weed eater/leaf blower combo. I got the package with the 9 Amp battery for less than cost of the battery. The battery alone at that time I think was 249.00

I have a few of the Milwaukee 18V Fuel tools. The jigsaw, the leaf blower, the 14" chainsaw, sawzall and drills. The batteries are amazing and last so very long. The chainsaw does eat batteries very fast though. But it also cuts quickly.
Milwaukee has come a long way and their tools are what the pros use.

Ive been using the same Milwaukee M12 with the original 2 batteries since I bought my first house 8-10 years ago. I would bet the Fuel 18 will do the job.
