He’s a brilliant offensive mind but not not so sure about his defense and head coaching. Hopefully Saban taught him a thing or two under his wing. Once you hit rock bottom there’s no place but up. Hopefully the Alabama stint was a springboard for that.

I don't know the answer to that and agree it was time for Tommy Sledge to go, but surely you can agree that this seems like at least a little bit of a panic hire/stretch.
