The Muschamp news is agent noise.

Dam that seems high given his past? Any idea on buyout?

Horn radio telling. Herman behind the scenes stories this AM. Pretty funny to hear the guys that have been defending and propping him up say what they really think.

No, but 5.2 million is cheap in today's climate.

I was going to say for a money school like Texas, 5.2 isn't bad.

It also appears that the offensive staff has been completed. We'll see what unfolds in the coming days, but these are the names being floated. Kyle Flood (OC/OL), Stan Drayton (RB), Holmon Wiggins (WR). Also hearing AJ Milwee (QB) whom I thought just took the OC job at Arkansas State and Jeff Banks (ST/TE).

If the Meyer numbers rumored were even close to correct, Texas has a boat load of money to throw at assistants. Based on the Sark contract.

I guess that’s true i think back to Ed’s 3.5/17.5 5 yr contract at first, this being much higher. I’m sure Texas has a clause should his past rear it’s head, just seems from outsider they bid against themselves.

The money for Sark is actually low in my opinion. Everyone knows that Texas has money and $12M was floated to Urban so they were willing to spend it. I think he could have asked up to $7.5M and probably gotten it. A lot of agents are sad, because typically when Texas has openings everyone gets rich off of it. This has been a well run search so far.

Sark turned down other jobs, including Auburn so there was competition out there. In listening to Sark though, it was not about who was going to pay him the most money, he was looking for the right spot. That's the different with a guy that has been a HFC coach and took a step back, it wasn't about JUST becoming a HFC, it was finding the spot he felt was right to take a job.

The contract with Coach O was way different. He probably would have taken the job for $250K if that was the deal. He gambled on himself, and LSU rewarded him with a big contract after the title.
