When I hunt in SE Kansas my friends tell me stories of huge paddlefish that they snag at certain times of the year. I did not realize they were in Texas.

      Congrats on a great catch.

Congrats on a nice size fish!

We used to snag them Back home years ago. They taste just like catfish with no bones. We saw a guy doing that and we started doing it. After the second year, they said that the following year you wouldn't be able to snag them. They also used to snag them in Mississippi.

I was careful with her gills when I picked him up and he was still very strong when I released her. It was definately a catch of a lifetime for me.
