That gazebo, where he is standing and talking, at the beginning of the video, which is as far as I have watched. Is Landa Park in New Braunfels.

I have been told by some people, that the other side of that body of water, whatever you want to call that section of the Comal River. That the other side of that body of water, there are some huge large mouth bass. I can tell you, you can walk along the bank and from the pier right there in the park and see some big large mouth bass. But good luck getting them to hit anything. Everybody that I have talked to that fishes from that pier and the bank near the pier, will tell you, those bass are smart and won't hit on much of anything.

I have fly fished from the bank right there around that gazebo a couple of times. Caught a lot of small fish, sun fish, all types of other fish. I have also fished that same spot with a spinning rod and reel a few times, caught a lot of the same types of fish I was catching with the fly rod.

I assumed since they charge to let you take paddle boats out in that area, where he put in at, that they might get upset, if you put a kayak in there. So I never tried a kayak there, but I really wanted to.

The Comal River is fed by springs that come up right there in the park. Then the Comal River dumps into the Guadalupe River. From where the Comal dumps into the Guadalupe, down stream, the first dam you come to, I have caught quite a few nice Guadalupe bass and large mouth bass.
