    Cannon Gun Safe Review

Anyone have this safe? It’s a 40 gun safe from Cannon. Looking at getting it. Only thing that bothers me is there is no key back up to open it if the electronic lock fails. The battery is accessible from the outside though.

A bunch of us just bought the 30 gun on sale at TSC for $299, It is a great safe for the money, no complaints. There is a key that you can use that comes with it, just pop off the electronic pad like changing the battery to access the key hole.

I bought that safe it will do it’s job. However you might be able to find a way better safe for the same price if you check fb marketplace for a couple weeks.

Here ya go. Cannon Safe from Tractor supply.

What you have to find out is, if it could be opened with a Strong Earth magnet.
That would trigger the solenoid and open the combo lock. The dial locks are EMP proof.

just had one delivered yesterday (it was supposed to be there on the 6th). It doesnt seem as stout as my fat boy but it will work and is better than mess I currently have. Mine came with a key in the event the battery fails.

I dont mind the electric lock and find it quicker than a dial. I will also say Ive had the other safe over 10 years and have replaced the battery once. And we open it 3-4 times a week with a kid in shooting sports.

Thanks for the replies. I missed out on the $299 one from Tractor Supply. I got off work the morning of Black Friday and by the time I got to the store a gentleman was there buying the last 3 they had. My only issue I think with this safe pictured is like I said earlier it doesn’t have a key as back up.

I have a 20 gun Cannon bought several years ago. Decent safe, better than storing in the closet corne. But beware. it will not hold 40 guns unless you stack 'em in tightly, increasing the likelihood of scratching the finish on a few.
