I feel your pain. I drive about 70k a year.
Cant stand most 18 wheeler drivers...
They will pull right out in front of you and take 5 minutes to go around another 18 wheeler...
I may be guilty of pulling in front of them and slowing down...

I’ve been driving hazmat for 16+ years. There are lots of people who owe me their lives and don’t even know it. Multiple times per day people do stupid stuff that could easily cause accidents with or right in front of me. People who pull right out in front of me, close enough for me to count lug nuts is the worst! The “important “ people in this world or just completely careless could easily/daily cause me to not come home to my family any night. It’s become the one reason why when I kiss my wife and kids bye every morning, weather they’re awake and know it or not, I kiss them bye for the last time every day. If people would only pay attention and figure out, not only would that truck driver die, but their important self would likely burn to death too, the roads might be at least two vehicles safer. Lack of respect for others lives is what I figure it is.
Be safe everyone! And Merry Christmas!

X2. Been known to cost em more time than they saved.

I used to travel for work and drove my truck like it had wings. Now, about 80miles is the most I spend on the interstate and with all the construction on I10 I usually just set the cruise control on 65/70, tuck in behind an 18wheeler and exit in 45min.

I don’t think it is people driving slower I feel that the slow drivers just forgot that they can pull over to the shoulder to let people pass!

I try to keep it at 5 mph over the speed limit and set the cruise control. The drivers that bug me the most are the one's who vary their speed by a great amount; aka not using the cruise control. You go to pass them and they speed up. You get behind them again and they slow down.

Yep, wish I could legally share drive cam footage from our company across the United States. It would not mirror the popular opinion here.

I live in Houston and drive an hour to jobsites and another hour home Monday thru Friday. I have seen every story anyone will till. I just try to keep from running up someone's bumper and others off mine. Go with the flow.

I believe trucking companies which govern their trucks below the speed limit should be fined monthly and the fine doubled for every mile under the max speed limit. If it takes you 5 miles to pass another truck you are not passing you are loitering. One of my pet peeves is people driving 5 miles under the speed limit in a 2 lane road when you can't pass, and then when there is a passing lane they speed up to 10 miles over the speed limit. When the passing lane ends they slow back down to 5 miles under the speed limit.

Most company trucks are speed regulated lots at 65.

It’s definitely not for anyone with road rage! I’d probably stay at stroke pressures if I didn’t have a short memory for the idiots! Some can’t understand, that truck driver is a daddy, husband, and a human too. They have no idea what it takes, what kind of clean record and background it takes to keep a hazmat license. I agree, some people have no business in a truck, but I’ve seen many more who are in regular vehicles that shouldn’t have a regular driver’s license.

Amen. I drive 65-70k a year and I just want to cruise and listen to my **** podcast.

If you’re going slow get over, if you wanna race I’ll get put of you way.

I usually set it 7-10 above the limit and roll. I just wanna drive in peace people!! I hateeeee the interstates. I would 100 times over go down some county road to get away from the rig welders (no offense fellas) on IH 10 heading to midland!
