    Car Shield Warranty

Anyone have it and have you used it? How would you rate it? They quoted me $100 per month to cover my 2005 F150 Lariat 4x4 that has 165,000 miles. I bought it new and have never had a major issue. 5.4 liter V8. Warranty covers engine, transmission, rear axle and transfer case. $100 deductible for each repair. Your thoughts.......

    Thanks

i would set aside 100/mo. use it for repairs if needed, if not, it is still yours.

They will cover nothing when you actually go to use it.

Like said above, better off setting aside $100 month in a repair fund.

Sounds like a plan to me. In my life I've replaced 2 trannys and one engine. I'm 68. Do the math.

I would tread lightly, do your research BBB etc.

all warranty is a scam, the warranty companies aren't in business to help you out. More times than not you will never come out ahead. As mentioned above save the $100 per month.

Nope. I had one years back and they wouldn't cover repairs. They always found an excuse. Never again will I buy any ext warranty.

Car warranty companies are in the business of taking in money, not paying it out.

Yep. If one buys these warranties, they better read the fine print BEFORE they buy it!

I had a 2003 F250 gasser with over 270,000 miles on the 5.4 and never had an issue.
