    New Truck Time

Ok so I am in the market for a new truck. Right now the front runner is the Ford F-150 4x4 with either the 3.5 ecoboost or 5.0 v-8. I am seeing online advertised prices around 43K

Has anyone else bought recently and what can I expect off of these online prices is a 40K a realistic number?

Feel free to PM me if you don’t want to share on an open forum.

Also any Ford salesmen that can help me out feel free to message me. Not opposed to the right deal on a GMC/Chevy.

Also not afraid to travel for the right deal

I’m shopping for a new Ram. I’ve seen some ads online from dealerships that looked pretty good as well, and I’m seeing that getting those deals is not as easy and straightforward as it seems. This video was helpful in explaining some of it for me. https://youtu.be/8UxeomzIBqU

I can’t help you on the deals with them, but you will not be disappointed in the 3.5 eco boost.

You will be happy with the Ford. But make sure you test drive it multiple times and make sure you will be okay with the d*** auto stop button every time you get in the truck. Yes you can do things to circumvent it but still a pain. That’s my only suggestion.

I have the 5.0 and the truck felt better driving than the ecoboost.

Very easy to turn off auto stop permanently. There is a small plug that goes into the harness right at the battery. Unplug it and it won’t do it anymore.

Can you explain more on this? A picture would really help. Thank you

I just bought a new 2020 F150 Platinum FX4 with the 3.5 EcoBoost last week. I love the truck and the engine has tons of power. The 470 lb-ft of torque is great. I had to play hardball more than usual to get the price where I wanted it. Inventory is really low right now and deals are tougher to get. Sticker on mine was $67k and I got it down to $53k and change. I had to be a total Burnadell to make a deal.

I'd have to agree . I never thought I'd see the day that I had to spend over $40k on a truck to get what I wanted but here we are and it's not going to get better. It's not just trucks, it's everything. I've just accepted that if I want something nice these days I'm gona have to shell out the coin to get it. It sucks. I can't take any money with me when I die so I don't mind spending it if I have it.

97k on a 4 year old truck is average and that truck has another 400k in it....

I think he is a little high , but not much.....its pretty tho

Buddy just paid $76k for F250 Platinum at 5-Star. That's double what I paid for my first house!

That’s triple what we paid for our first house back in 1988. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
