There is a big difference between just any old pair of boots made with your skin and custom boots.. A custom pair where a last is made to the exact measurements of your feet is gonna cost you, but you will be able to tell the diff on your foot. Worth it IMO if you are looking for a pair to last you 20 yrs

I would just call around and check.
Clay Miller made mine about 8 years ago. They are about due for a re-sole, and a good cleaning/oiling.

Surprised Armondo Rios in Raymondville didn't make this list.

OP, feel free to PM me. There are some good recs here... I’ve had several done by various boot makers and can share my experiences, good and not so good. See picture for a few examples. Good news is that getting a custom boot made with your own gator skins will be a substantially cheaper starting price since you already have the skins. A few questions to consider are how far from Fredericksburg are you willing to travel, whether you want inlays or stitching (inlays will be substantially more), what’s your timeframe for getting them back to wear...Last edited by DimmitCo; 12-16-2020, 12:05 AM.
