The GW in my county confirmed it also. It’s believed to be the one sighted in Rowlett. Young male he said.

You're wrong. That's Randolph McGee. I know him personally.

I was told the warden shot the cat on an older mans property that was losing calves in the area and thought it was possible that it was the same cat seen in Wolfe City. The pic I saw of it made the cat look pretty big/healthy. Supposedly weighed 162 lbs

This is all so confusing after so many of the TBH experts said that they did not go east of I-35.........

Can you post a link Curt please. I think Im interwebing wrong. I see no Articles...just titles, subtitles, chapters and sections. I dont think chapter 5, title 41, sec 41.003 applies to this conversation...but confused if and how it does.

                            Thanks for the info MrCurt.

Funny how these "experts" don't seem to understand the concept of "range expansion"....how/why it occurs. The FACT that cats have been documented to travel up to 1000 miles and maintain a home territory of over 100 sq miles/64,000 acres. That cats are found from the Rockies to the swamps of FL and might well be seen pretty much everywhere in between....including a neighborhood along the Red River in Shreveport, LA, etc.

Based off sightings, cattle kills, etc I think they've been in E TX all of my life to a small degree. They are very reclusive and probably the stealthiest wild animal in N America. Getting an eyeball on em would be very, very rare, especially when hunting in thickets or bottom lands. I don't think there's very many to see and, on top of that, they are a heckuva lot harder to spot in heavy cover vs the more open terrain of W TX. But anyone who thinks there "are no cats W of I-35" is being a bit obtuse or practicing cognitive dissonance.
