Need feedback on best dog training/waterfowl hunting collars out there these days?

Have to replace my Tritronics Flyway G2 collar as it finally died and the receiver unit can’t be revived. Bought a new battery and still won’t turn on at all. Pup is getting to the age where I want to start doing distance work with him so need to get a new collar. Anyone have any pros/cons or thoughts on what’s the best bang for the buck out there for a waterproof training collar? I haven’t bought one in 15 years and I’m sure there are lots of changes since last time I did real research.

I've had the tritronics but got away from them due to the transmitter size. I went with Dogtra. I have 2 of them.
I've only had 1 bad battery with both systems in 12 years.
I was running hunt test and hunting quite a bit, always worked and smaller units were nice.

It darn sure lasted forever. And was **** near bomb proof! Just didn’t know what else may be out there That could do the job for less coin since the prices on the 550 are $$$

Second the garmin. I use them on all my dogs. If you have multiples it’s nice to be able to flip the switch on the controller for each dog.

Alright, since you are going to poor-mouth me like you don't have that jingle...

Have you tried sending the unit back to Garmin?

              They do recondition them.
