Christmas snow for hill country and upper rgv?

GFS produced an interesting run last night sending a solid shot of cold air straight down the spine of the Rockies deep into Mexico with a low pressure spinning up and putting a snow/ice storm from roughly Del Rio east to BCS.

It’s still a good ways out and none of this may verify or timing & intensity changes, but it’s a little reminiscent of the Christmas snow storm of 2004

That would be pretty cool but when I went to bed last night here at the lease rain was forecast from 4am until noon I think and this morning that forecast doesn’t exist.

That was cool in 2004. We had gone to a candlelight service and when we got out it had or was snowing! Really cool

I was on my way Home from a hunt in Falfurrias in 2004 and it started snowing on me
        It was pretty neat
