I have not hunted with Great Grey but know several people that have and they shot nice deer. I have met the husband/ wife that run the operation and they seem like really good people. I can't remember the cost but I think it was pretty pricey.

I hunted archery Black Bear with Wade years ago up in Northern Saskatchewan and he was really good. If I were going to hunt Whitetails in Saskatchewan, I would call him in a heart beat.
How many years ago? Did you see the quality of bucks shot?

Really digging this recommendation! What I really like is that they say harvesting of bucks less than 150 BC is prohibited. I am not interested in shooting 'a' buck. I want 'the' buck!

I did not hunt bear with Wade where he hunts Whitetail. We were clear up in Northern Saskatchewan by Lake Athabaska.
His Whitetail operation is out of Carrot River, which is northeast of Saskatoon. I have not seen it but based on my experience with him bear hunting, I would not hesitate to book a whitetail hunt with him.

IMO, you’ll be disappointed in a Canada whitetail hunt. Definitely bruisers up there. But those hunts make for some loooooong coooold sits without seeing much. Definitely better Midwest states to hunt with a potential Booner on the ground and have a better time doing it.

Been to Saskatchewan 4 times. Two of those were whitetail hunts and the other two were bear.

There are some tremendous deer up there but booners are not behind every tree in the bush. Yes I said bush and the what the locals call it.

Timing the rut is really key and so is the weather. Like others have said it’s cold as #&dc up there at times. You are at the mercy of a snow storm, that happened on my second trip and deer were not moving. Deer are most likely bated with alfalfa and you sit in a blind from dawn to dusk which is only about 6 hours of daylight. It’s really a crap shoot like a lot of places here. You can actually hunt high fenced properties there for about the same price and be guaranteed a brute. At least is was the last time I traveled there.

My first trip was simply amazing and hit the rut perfect and saw deer every trip out.passed on nice bucks daily but didn’t see the “one” I wanted on either trip. Came back empty on both but that’s hunting

Just tried to get on the guys website and things went south in a hurry, When I click on the Google link bad things came up, started taking me to different sights and warnings came on on security was breached on my outer so I got out. Don’t know what’s going on there

Went 2 times 20 years ago hunting the Cochiti Indian reservation. Shot a 170 one of those years. You have to hope for cold weather the week you’re there. Invest in serious warm gear and get your mind right to sit all day. If you hunt the boreal forest do research on wolves in the area and call former clients. Where I hunted was farmland but I have heard stories of wolves masking the deer hunting hard.

                Try southbayoutfitters.com

My wife’s cousin used to own South Bay Outfitters and offered whitetail and black bear hunts. $4000 sounds like a lot to spend for a deer hunt but those up there are monsters.

before you pay any money you should check on the "covid "travel restrictions first,,, son was going u there on vacation , found out it is nearly impossible to cross the border currently,, so find out what alternate plans could be in place for a hunt

You couldn’t pay me $5k for a week to sit in a stand daylight to dark! No way in hell I could do a hunt like that!! Good luck!!!

I have hunted both whitetail and bear with Wayne and Susan. They are great people, unfortunately they have sold the outfitting business and are only focusing on trapping and the fur trade. I know nothing about the people they sold it to other than they were a competing outfitter.
