RVD. Nope but we have camped in tent a lot and had a 600 sq foot house many years ago

This right here, even if you pay a little more per month.

In fact, it’s exactly what we’re doing. We’ve been in a lease house since the end of January 2019 and we’re spending a little more per month than we should but we’re in the area we want to be which we (actually my wife, due to past medical issues) sort a couple of things out but our house is scheduled to break ground January 18. The house we’re currently in has 2 more bedrooms that she, I and our kids need but the other two rooms and the garage make up for needed storage space so it’s all actually working out about right with regards to storage costs and other accommodations.

Find the smallest house you can make work, in the general area you’ll end up in, and rent it. You’ll almost definitely be better for it.

We will probably just do Air BnB and VRBO etc for a while. We just don’t want to stay anyplace for more than 3-6 weeks at a time. Not looking at renting where we are going to build. Gotta stretch our legs out for a year or so.

Gotcha, my biggest issue other than space in a camper is that something is always broken. Even “nice” ones are made with crappy components. My wife and I have a love hate relationship with campers, she loves em and I hate em but I love her more. We’ve had several and have a 40 Columbus now, let me known if I can help.

On another note, are you still building at the coast?

RVD- Yep if everything goes as planned. Have a building site but not in big hurry. We want to travel and watch our kids Freshman baseball year and then go site seeing for 3-6 months. After the kids season he is headed to Maryland to play and we don’t know where we will be.

Very cool, sounds like a great plan. Where did you decide to build?

Ingelside on the Bay. Found a place we fell in love with and had a great neighborhood feel. Has canal on back and view of bay the other way.
