    Scotts Spreader for Corn?

I'm being a cheap ***** here, and while I really like some of the road spreaders I see online, I can't bring myself to buy one to use 1 week a year and then store the other 51 weeks of the year.

That in mind, I'm curious if anyone has used a Scotts, or similar, broadcast spreader for corning a road? Seems feasible looking at what I have in the garage, but before I look like a fool for only myself to see I figured I'd bring it up.

New truck, so I prefer not to just do it out of the window like I normally would and I'm trying to be redneck fancy instead of just walking the road/senderos dumping from the bag in a line.

I week a year?... suck it up buttercup and hand pour. You’ll cause more ruckuss and scare off more game than you’ll attract dragging a Scott’s spreader down the sendaro

You can find the road feeders cheap during the offseason. But if you are that cheap.....$50-75 might be too much for you.

It’s more the storing. I have enough “stuff” and my wife has triple that.

Cut a small hole in the bag and rig it up and drive.

                  Not a bad idea....
If I could find a road feeder for $50 I’d buy it tho....but Ive never come across a used one....

Just hang the sack out the driver's window and slow roll down the road you want to feed.

I know someone who uses a spreader with a hand crank. The type you wear with a sling. It works for him in the woods

I prefer the noise a spin type road feeder makes. You can also honk your horn when feeding. It works for cattle and will also work for deer once you get them trained. I want every animal around to know corn is being put out.
