    2007 Chevy input?

Anybody have much experience with the 2007 Chevy P/Ups yet?
With the 0% going on and a few miles piling on el Fordo, I went and checked out the 2007 Chevy's today. Mikey Likey! I was just wondering if there was much change in the handling, etc. My personal vehicles have been Fords for a while now, but my company vehicles were Chevys, so I know how the old style were, but any info on the 07's?

They look to much like the toys to me, not to mention the fact that the 4X4s are so low to the ground. My dodge 2500 before a leveling kit I had to jump into to get in, my budies 06 GMC I have to fall into. I can move around under mine easily (5'8 225) his I barely can lay underneith, no turning over for sure.

3065 miles on my new 1500HD 6.0 4x4, 15 to 16 in town and 18 to 19 on the open road 12 to 13 when towing. Still getting used to it coming out of a 2500 dodge diesel 4x4. But the fuel is 25 to 35 cents a gallon less with about the same mileage.

I can't find info in 0% right now! I didn't now Chevy had this incentive going on right now. Only thing I see on the Chevy site is the Presidents Day sale.

I've been looking at new trucks also. I just haven't convinced myself the 07 Silverado's are worth that much more than the 07 Classic's. I wonder if the new 07's will come down a bit once they sell all of the old body style "Classic's".

Looks like the 0% is for 36 months.

I haven't had a chance to check out the new Tundra's yet but I'm also interested in them.

The 0% is for 60 as well. It has been all over the ads up here Ford is now doing 0% for 60 on all their trucks as well.

The website must not be updated. It has a note on the 0% that says "
                (2) Length of contract limited. See dealer for details." I found another place on the website that shows the Silverado's are limited to 36 months. I just saw 60 months on GMC's on a commercial.

I saw an add on TV early this morning here in Houston about 0 % financing on new '07 silverados. Don't know if it is going on else where. I am like you Mike I Likey. Still have a couple of years left on my '04.

I'm in the same boat myself....Looking to sell my '01 F350 7.3 and moving on to a 1/2 ton gasser. I am pretty much a Ford guy but I may stray because of gas mileage. I've been researching and researching but still haven't made a decision.

One drawback I see to the '07 Chevy is the crewcab bed being only 5.5'. I'd like at least a 6.5' and I know the Ford has it available this year....I'm thinking the Tundra does also . though

Wow....I havn't seen anything yet on the 0%. My 2002 Avalanche has 102K on the clock right now. Been thinking about trading her in. Might be the time.

Wow, those are some good numbers.
I've got 3 questions if you don't mind-

                        1. Are the MPG you listed the rolling or average mpg's listed on the onboard data display?

                        2. Have you hand calculated any total tank MPG's yet?

                        3. Is this a single, extended cab or fourdoor truck?

These numbers are all checked by a mileage vs gallons by me not the trip computer. My truck is a 4 door 4x4 with the 6.5 bed. It is the old body style not the new, the old body style is out of production. I didn't care much for the new interior.

I don't like the looks of the new Chevys at all. The '07 Toyota Tunda however........

I'd be all over a Tundra wayyyyy before I'd go with the Chevy.

??? You're the first person with that truck that i've seen say he's gotten over 15mpg even on the highway. Congrats to you on those numbers, but my buddy's 1500HD with the 6.0L was lucky to get 14 mpg on the highway going dowhill If you have the new Vortec Max, they must have done some great tuning on the fuel efficiency.

Regarding the 0% financing, the commercial I saw down here in TX was for the '06 "Classic" being offered, but not the '07s...at least not at 60 months.
