Black coyote

I had one, think I caught it in a steel trap and it tangled up and broke the chain and neither trap nor black coyote were seen again

what part of cherokee county are y’all my place is in rusk county by reklaw which is maybe a mile or two from cherokee and we have quite a few black yotes i’ve killed two one is full body mount and i’ve had a couple more on camera.
we have 4 distinct colors of coyotes on our place the regular tan ones , some brown ones with black hind quarters, some very bright red ones with white bellies and then the black ones with the white spot on the chest like yours has.

anyone consider getting DNA checked on one of these? From the posts it sound like a lot have been seen. I've never seen one this color coat, calico is the oddest I've seen and that was probably because he was older
