After several encounters over the last few weeks yesterday evening everything finally came together on an old axis I called big brow. It had been awhile since I had a target animal that really blew my skirt up. But this axis made my heart flutter on more than one occasion. He was smart and skittish but he made a fatal mistake yesterday evening when he finally turned broadside in my shooting lane. 28” main beam on the left an 23” broken on the right with 14” eye guards free range low fence with my bow. I’m super thankful for big brow and the euphoric high I’m riding from him. Glad my wife was here to help load him and take pictures joker was heavy.
