Good guy. Too bad they didn't get rid of Daniels. He will still have his fingerprint on it...

I've been thinking about this today. I'm starting the get the feeling that JD may be a bit of a snake in the grass. He's the one that got the club into the position they are in today. He apparently is going to let someone else fade the heat during the rebuild.

JD made one great trade, a couple of very good trades, and a bunch of bad to really bad trades. I think he moved up the food chain, somehow, to save his behind.

I hope Chris Young has something. He has his work cut out for him. We'll see...

I have thought JD was a Weasel from the get go. For whatever reason, the owners like him. I am also not 100% convinced the owners are in 100% for winning as opposed to marketing the team and new stadium to sell.

I hope it's the beginning of the end for JD. 2010-2011 was a LONG time ago.

Daniels is the issue not any of their GMs

Well one thing Young has going for him is he is really well thought of. He will get a legit shot to turn team around.

Color me somewhat excited. Young seems to be have a good head on his shoulders, well versed in analytics and well respected. Lets hope he can turn that into wins. JD brought us some good years but I'm afraid that ship sailed a long time ago.

Chris Young has been sought out by many teams for many years for various positions. He’s an extremely bright guy, and much more personable than JD. I really like the hire, and the new blood. Now if Simpson and Davis will get off their wallets, maybe they can win a game or two.

Well, making a splash trading Lance away. Rebuild engaged

No real anticipation of improvement until they get rid of JD.

Time for him to move on.

Obviously over the last few years they were trying to put off a total reboot and cobble together a competitive team to open the new stadium. Failed miserably. Chris Young sounds like he is ready to tear it all the way down. Get ready for several more years of bad baseball - like Astros 2011-2014 bad. Won't surprise me if they try to get a bunch of prospects for Gallo but after his poor season I don't know if he will bring enough.

I really like the hire - good guy with a great reputation throughout the league. Was set up to work for MLB direct, and some other teams in the GM capacity. Chose to come home because that's where he/Family wants to be.

Dale mentioned it above. Hope he can persuade Simpson/Davis and the Owners to open up and compete like the top 5 market that we are.
