    Age - Tricky One

This buck has really thrown up for a loop - two years now. Not concerned on exact age. He is either very young or over the hill.

Based on head characteristics, let's see if we agree. I am fully aware that it takes the whole picture to make a decision, but head is one of the biggest things that causes the disagreements (in our own minds). For what it's worth, this is northern Burnet Co. Mass is double anything else we have running around.

What says you, mighty green screen of knowledge???

I’m gonna go with over the hill based on all the loose skin under his age/chin. You have any more pics not so cropped of head?

A plastic surgeon would take one look at that face and say "ka-ching"

Why not post the whole body so we can get a better assessment? The mass on the antlers makes me think he’s old. He has loose looking skin on the face. It’s just a guess with such limited info.

Did you count the number of wrinkles on his ear butts?

Yea I can see why the confusion. That mass does not go with that body. Regarding the face, his eyes look huge on his face which usually means a young deer. Looks like he is in poor condition in the early season pics, but the last one he just looks like a skinny 3 year old to me.
