    Mountain Lion in Kansas.

Just saw where a mountain lion has been spotted in Southwest Kansas. From what I've been told game wardens in Kansas deny there being mountain lions in that State. Pretty hard to deny it now. Never say never. If they can hide in that flat country I guarantee you they can be just about anywhere. They have legs, I mean........They can travel so it's not like they're just supposed to be in certain areas.

I think people take the name a little too literally. You don't have to have mountains to have mountain lions. My name is Austin but that doesn't mean I'm a pot smoker,a homosexual or a liberal.

So you mean that people that don't live in an area are not the experts on everything in that area? I thought people that live on concrete streets in big cities knew everything that existed out in the rural areas........

According to some it must be a pet and if it wasn't certified it didn't happen.

I suspect if they can live 16 miles from downtown Dallas they can live in rural Kansas.

There have been a few in the Panhandle of Oklahoma over the years and it's the same way pretty much. Not a lot of cover except when the corn and other crops are tall. They can hide in a lot less cover than one would think.

LOL I don't know why they keep denying that they are there. Friend lost a calf to one 10 yrs ago.

I am waiting on someone from the Billboard Top 20 to provide their opinion on this before I come to my own conclusion.

My spouse saw a dead mt lion along 287 in OK panhandle many years ago, before they were saying you had them. He stopped and looked at the carcass to make sure. I reported it to Oklahoma wildlife via internet.

Heck Colorado didn't have any wolves either til the state said they did, lol. All those sightings by hunters were dismissed til video proved it.

Big cats can roam and are around more than folks think.

Oh I know that. Been there many, many times. I was referring to the other thread where all the people that do not live in east Texas tell us that we do not have any lions over here.

In 2011 a lion traveled 1,500 miles from South Dakota to Connecticut......so yeah there are lions in every state.

A cougar killed in Connecticut broke a record when it walked there from South Dakota, but many other animals are reclaiming territory across the United States.
