Sad that we accept AC systems to last only 15 years. My parents recently sold their house that was built in '67. It still have the same two AC units.

I replaced a system because I have a bud that owned a AC business. My units were from the early 70s and still going strong. My electric bill dropped at least 60%, and took me 16 months to pay for it in savings. Went from a 2 or 4 seer, to a two stage variable speed 16 seer. Sometimes they cost you not to replace.
