    Best Gun Vise Bench?

Wanting to add a Gun vise/cleaning bench to my wish list,

What in the Green Screens opinion is the best one available?

I am considering the Tipton 110011 Ultra Gun Vise?

    and Goooooo....

I have the Tipton Best gun vise. I’d like to upgrade to the Ultimate.

Mike, both of those look pretty slick with decent pricing. Do you know the details on how the Ultimate adheres to the bench surface? I couldn't find a pic that provided enough detail.

I have an old vise with rubber/magnetized clamps from Brownells that works fine, but you're limited to one location.

Could always build one yourself and get it the way you want.

Last week I ordered the Best gun vise with a free Wheeler screwdriver kit from Midway.
It was delivered a little while ago. I paid $79.99 with free shipping. A special and one heck of a deal.
I have a wood handmade one and it served its purpose for a long time. having the ability to work on AR's securely is welcome.

I bought a used Decker vise in 1990, been using it ever since.
I bring it to the range to clean my rifle during load work ups
                  probably $30 worth of material
Tipton is a nice rest if not buying new or not building your own

I prefer the parrot vise with various padded jaws...can adjust gun to any 360 angle including vertical holds.

They aren’t meant for serious wrenching as they don’t actually attach to anything. I use mine for menial tasks such as scope mounting, cleaning, etc.

If you are going to be wrenching hard on something you need an actual vise.

Mine can be wrenched on. Aluminum angle on the bottom for a vise. The top leg is also a hanger for a matching cleat mounted on a wall.
