A meat saw will make short work of 500-1000 lbs of hog carcass during processing. Or multiple deer.

I've done my share of it. Even done it with a standard hand hack-saw at times.

Saw can double for trimming up tree branches for shoot-n lanes too.
When hunting whitetail I carry a folding pruning saw. Works on brush and will split a pelvic bone or saw out a neck bone roast.

That’s fine by me! Put the battery on charge when you are done! She needs some new ones soon.[emoji12][emoji23]

Wait! I misread! Use the tape in the box please... or I’m putting a hole in your boat![emoji51][emoji23]

Once you learn how to breakdown a deer carcass without a saw you won’t go back. No more coolers ruined by sharp bones. No more bone chips in your meat.

If you don't want to use a saw, Good. I love a Sawzall for the ease. Just Me....
I have tried the Cabelas backwards blade. Shoots the bone and meat the other directions. Works, but not a fan. For me, A demolition blade is master of both meat & bone.

OP any new wood blade works just fine on the bone.

I use saw all the time. Never think about the blade type though. Think I use a combo blade. As others has stated, a wood blade probable would cut faster. I don't cut through back bones mostly legs.

When I use a saws all I typically use the nail embedded wood type of blade. But I prefer to just use a meat saw. With a good long sharp blade you can knock a leg off with one stroke and don’t have the cleanup on the saws all.

I use a wood type blade- as short (I think it's around 8"s) as I think I can get away with as I don't want it flexing and also as wide as I can find (again trying to cut down on flexing. I'm intrigued by the SS blade posted above but too cheap to pay $35

I use my Bubba knife on ribeye roasts. No problem.

Unless I use my loppers this has worked fine.
