    Wright patman lake level

It’s been rumored that the COE is gonna raise the water level. I see there is a taller bridge being built on hwy 8 between Douglassville and maud. I’ve herd several people say that it is to help supply water to the Dallas area. Anyone have any info? I wonder just how much hunting land we will lose.

I’ve wondered if it is to increase capacity since they haven’t moved forward with anything on Marvin Nichols as far as I know.

A good friend of mine was integral in shutting down Marvin Nichols cold a few years back. I have little doubt the reason WP is being raised, if indeed it is, is due to the demise of MN.

Prepare to be screwed. All to help people in Dallas that don’t give a crap about anything but themselves.

Kinda what I have herd. There is other ways they could get water but it would be cheaper to buy out people’s land up here.

Yup it’s a money making grab for people that aren’t even in the same water district. STEALing peoples land.
They have pretty much tricked people into thinking that they will lose less land if they raise the level to gain support. But in the end will actually do both because raising the lake won’t get enough water for dallas’s long term goals. Inthe meantime destroying the largest intact bottomland hardwood habitats left in Texas.
