This deer shot similar made it 30 yards 3” from the back of the lungs.

You can see the arrow exited low and farther back. I agree the deer should die but not high lungs for sure.

Liver in one lung for sure.
Usually takes four or five hours but if you clip the second lung he'd be down pretty quick

How was the blood trail? Every time I see those lighted nock pics they appear higher to me in the photos. Glad you got him.
