Rv park-port aransas

Im thinking about hauling my trailer to port aransas and hanging out for a few days with the wife this summer. I'd like to find an rv park that is nice and is right by the water. Anybody have any suggestions?

if you got a generator i would just stay on the beach in the trailer

We go every summer. We stay at Pioneer RV resort just outside of Port A. A little walk to the beach, but the ammenities are first class. We also stay at Magee county park on Mustang, nice place also.

Is Pioneer still open? We have stayed there a couple of times, but I thought they sold out and were closing at the end of 2007. That is what they said, and that is what was on their website.
