Wake up to a slight "stomach cramp", within 30 minutes it was hurting all the way through to my back. Took 3 trips to the ER before they did a sonogram and found gall stones. The last time I literally crawled into the ER on my hands and knees because of the pain. It would last a few hours and then go away. A week later I had it taken out. No problems since. Well, except for the first 6 months or so afterward. When you felt "a twinge" like you needed to go poop, you better be headed that way, FAST. Thank me later for that piece of advice.

Go get you gall bladder checked by another DR. You got gall stones. Guaranteed.

They misdiagnosed mine the first time because the CAT scan didn’t show anything there. Once they did a sonogram, boom, they saw them immediately. 3 stones blocking the duct and it was inflamed. Felt pain in the same area, directly under my solar plexus. They kept happening more frequently and then I finally started going to the ER.

Once they took it out, I’ve only had maybe 2-3 times where I felt that tinge of the same exact pain and only for a few minutes and it was done. No other issues OTHER than what this guy said: when you gotta poop, you gotta go now, son. There’s no waiting. Directly after my surgery and for years after, the moment I finished eating, I had to go directly to the bathroom immediately. Now, it’s hit or miss but when the urge does hit, there’s no holding it.

7 months post op and I can't tell you that I miss my GB. Everything has returned to normal and the only way I am reminded are by the scars. Physical activity and diet are unaffected. I had some phantom discomfort for a bit, like my body expected to feel off in that area, but that all went away as well.

Coffee and fried foods sometimes set me off after gb removal, otherwise good.

                      1 year update...

Everything has seemed fine for the most part. But most recently, I've felt sort of a dull ache to a small stabbing pain in the are the GB was. Diet is unaffected, and bathroom issues are not present. The only real issues are the aching pains at times, and some different spasm like feelings all throughout. Not sure what to think of it, but I'll keep an eye on it. Last scan I had was back in November (ultrasound) and everything was normal then as well. The only real difference I've made diet wise has been a Topo Chico about once a day with either lunch or dinner.
