What happend this morning?

Ok I'm about to head in. I'm hunting a corn pen up in a pine plantation . It is a funnel into a fantastic sanctuary very much like the spot I hunted yesterday. Top end possibility on on this spot is off the chart. Like the spots I hunted yesrerday it is designed so i can get in and out with deer in the pen af 25yds if I execute well.

Let's see what shakes out. Wind is great. 4 deer in camera that I would shoot. All have a history of showing at or just before light.

Its shooting light and no deer. Hope I didn't bust them getting in. I shouldn't have. Lots of corn gone. Maybe they will still roll in.

I have not seen a single deer so far. That us crazy for a morning hunt at this spot. I did just hear a gun shot that about made me jump out of my chair. Fencs line it s about 350yd that direction. I'm thinking about walking down there. Hard to believe the shot was that far even if they were on the boundary.

I will be making a trip this morning to Grapeland to use a few vacation days. Hoping to see anything decent. I have not got a picture of a buck from my cell camera in over 7 days. Ugh

A truck just drove through my place right behind my stand. Neighbor has a field behind me that he cant access because if a big creek. I gave them permission and a key several years ago in case they needed to get there through my place. They generally don't hunt on there but he said his grandson was hunting today and I'm sure thats who shot.

No doubt he drove in before I got set this morning. Explains the slow start. Gonna sit a whole longer. They gone now and these deer may hit my corn up in This thicket. Now I need to know what they killed.

Well this hunt was a flop. Had no idea they were back there or I would have hunted else where . Gonna hunt food plots this evening. Should see lots if deer. That didn't always mean mature bucks but I have a whopper in the area.
