After a second look it appears the panels are gone because it didn’t fit the first time.

Yeah....and I'd bet a dollar to a donut hole that they used the backhoe to adjust the fitment.

if they already had the roof knocked out of the truck why not just cradle the hoe instead of letting it hang off like that.

Likely would have been too tall if cradled. Overpass lives matter.
