I was able to get 5 years out of a set of batteries and when I replaced them I went Lithium and that is the best thing I could have done. Charge faster, runs longer, lighter weight and best of all no maintenance.

    Good luck with your EV

    Great info!
What was the cost on the Lithium battery upgrade?

Lithium wasn’t readily available when I did mine 3 years ago so we built a 72 volt battery from the cells out of a Nissan Leaf. Cells assembled with Battery Management system and Charger was right at $2,000 but I would do it again if necessary.
Now there are all types of Lithium setups available for EVs

Not to a nubbin' Aggie I guess.

I am anything but trustworthy. I guess I shall refrain from any praise of Chance's old EV.

We had one a few years ago and loved it. Quiet and powerful. Until they saw me moving, it didn’t spook the deer like a gas motor does.

I run one and love it!!

I will say always check battery connectivity, as if a little loose you will be welding battery post right off.

you could be....its hard to know who to trust these days, but the Green Screen is a good start haha

I meant more from of a review of a brand new 2020/2021 model since that's what I'd be buying. Like I said my uncle had one 5 years ago and had issues with it.

                  Curious on more info.

I have a Ranger gas 800. What is the power equivalent? How long will it last on a charge? Cost to replace batteries?

I think top speed is around 25 or so.

How did the ride comfort change? Did you alter the suspension or tire pressure any? Most lithium transition accounts I've read indicate the need to soften the ride to preserve your kidneys.

For everyone: are there any years to stay away from? What, specifically, should a fella look for when looking at a used one?

I have a 2016 and love it, just got to keep up with the battery maintenance. Once you have one you won’t want to ride on anything else!

Ride quality is identical to any ranger and about a million times better than a golf cart
