    Help with Ozonics issue

I’ve got an Ozonics HR300 unit and it has stopped working. When I insert a freshly charged battery it cycles across all the little status LED lights and stops on the bottom one that’s apparently supposed to indicate low battery.

I have one regular battery and one extra capacity battery and both yield same results. When I place them in the charger they show red / charging status for a couple minutes then the green / fully charged light comes on.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is it worth risking $110 on a new high capacity battery when it may be the unit itself is bad? The regular battery that came with the unit is three years old. The high capacity battery is two years old.

There are like 5 pins on the charger and 5 slots on the batteries that appear to be the points of conduction for charging. I noticed one was missing on the battery but then I see the corresponding pin is missing on the charger so I’m assuming that’s normal.

Thanks in advance for any counsel here.

Should’ve mentioned the unit itself is only 3 yrs old.
