Who is the best 2 stroke motorcycle mechanic on the green screen

If you are please PM me....

Have a question about my 07 KTM 300 that is bogging down at wide open throttle ....

I am stumped after basically checking everything on the bike...

Replace fuel filter, if it still bogs I would rebuild the carb............

Carb was swapped with a great running bike...

      No change

Literally first thing we did to it

        Check throttle linkage for overtravel.

Spark plug gap, air filter, compression issues could be a list of things.

does it have a spark arrestor? Could be a clogged exhaust. Maybe something is up with the power valve?

What bike did you swap it from?

Have you checked the reed box and retainer?

That is where I would start, since you have swapped a carb from a known good bike.

Possibly Reed Valves? If that turns out to be the issue, look at Boyesen for replacements.

I havent checked them personally but a mechanic did, he took his carb off a 06 KTM 300 and it was doing the same thing....

Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried a new plug? And where are you located?

I had a spark arrester/muffler get completely clogged up once. Try taking that off, ride it & see if the problem is still there. Ignore the increased noise.

If that isn't it, has the power valve been serviced/do you know that it is functioning properly?
